THROUGH YOUR FEEDING JOURNEY

Breastfeeding support

You may have heard a lot about breastfeeding, but your experience with your own baby is unique. What you need is to be heard and to explore your questions together, without comparison.

Let's discuss this support

What can we discuss in a breastfeeding consultation?

Breastfeeding support covers preparation, positioning and attachment, expressing and storing milk, and questions about everyday feeding. The conversation begins with your and your baby's experience. We agree the scope of online or in-person support and how to follow up together.

Who is this support for?

Mothers preparing to breastfeed, needing support at the beginning or with feeding questions during the first year.

What can we explore together?

  • Looking at breastfeeding position and attachment
  • Discussing nipple concerns and discomfort
  • Exploring breast refusal and appropriate referral
  • Information on expressing milk and safe storage
  • Questions about everyday feeding
  • Referral for medical assessment when needed

Understanding you and your baby together

We discuss your experience, your baby's feeding history and any difficulties. Positioning and attachment may be assessed where the meeting conditions allow. No single product or approach is offered as a solution for every family.

Realistic support, without pressure

Feeding decisions are personal to each family. Support is planned without creating guilt or pressure to succeed. Fever, increasing pain or concerns that your baby is not feeding adequately require prompt assessment by an appropriate healthcare professional.

How can you prepare for breastfeeding support?

You can briefly share your expectations, concerns and preference for an online or in-person meeting. You do not need to send detailed health records or photos in your first message. We clarify the scope of the conversation, any information needed, your partner's involvement and follow-up contact together. If a concern requires medical assessment, you should contact the relevant healthcare team.

Before we meet

We clarify your needs, timing and arrangements at first contact. The location and ongoing plan depend on your circumstances. Simply note the questions that matter to you; you are not expected to know everything beforehand.

Questions you may have

Is this only available immediately after birth?

No. We can discuss needs from the start of breastfeeding through questions that arise during the first year.

Is an increase in milk supply guaranteed?

No. A particular milk supply or breastfeeding outcome cannot be guaranteed. Appropriate support and healthcare referral, when needed, are planned.

How should I prepare for the consultation?

You can note your questions and any advice from your healthcare team. You are not asked to upload personal health records through the contact form.
